General information
The ACEEPT 2025 international week will take place on the
campus of the LAB in Lahti. Participants will be
accommodated in the heart of Lahti, providing convenient access to the campus. You can choose either a roughly 20-minute bus ride or, if you prefer, a 3 km walk to the campus.
For your visit to Lahti, Finland, we recommend that you bring warm clothes. The city is known for its beautiful lakes, and the temperature at the end of November can easily drop to around 0 degrees. There may also be rain and snow, so bring good shoes and a waterproof jacket.
Packing Essentials
Remember to pack your own laptop, as it will be your primary tool during the week. Also, bring athletic clothing suitable for both outdoor and indoor activities.
During the week, we'll have the opportunity to enjoy a Finnish tradition: the sauna. To do this, pack a towel, a swimming costume, and any other necessary items for sauna bathing.
Please bring a backpack to carry your belongings during the excursions.
Important Reminder for Participants
Please remember that certain activities during the ACEEPT 2025 International Week are limited to participants who are 18 years or older. In Finland, identification is checked carefully, so ensure you have your ID with you at all times to verify your age.

Lahti is easily accessible by road. From Helsinki, take the E75 motorway towards Lahti, which takes about an hour. If you are coming from Tampere, take the E12 motorway and then follow the signs to Lahti, with a journey time of approximately 1.5 hours. If you're traveling to Lahti by car from Turku, the journey is straightforward. You will start by taking the E18 motorway towards Helsinki. Once you reach the vicinity of Helsinki, you will transition onto the E75 motorway heading north towards Lahti. The entire drive from Turku to Lahti typically takes around 2.5 to 3 hours.

By Bus to Kauppahotelli
If you prefer to travel to Kauppahotelli by bus, you should head to platform A at the travel center, where buses 7, 71, or 3 will take you close to Kauppahotelli. Alternatively, you can go to platform D and take bus 5, which will also get you nearby. The platforms are located right next to the main entrance of the train station. There is no direct bus connection to the hotel, so a short walk will be necessary. If you need assistance, don't hesitate to ask the bus driver for help. It is also recommended to download the LSL app on your phone to facilitate your use of public transportation.
