Desk research & customer view of a swiss destination

 

 

Deadline : november 12th

 

Switzerland is famous around the world for its lakes and mountains. This comes of course with many seasonal challenges. After some digital research on the internet, choose a destination in Switzerland’s alpine area that you can mainly think of for a specific season but for which your research has shown a good strategy and good products allowing a 12-month activity.

 

Try to answer the following questions :

 

  • Why in your opinion your chosen destination had to reposition and redefine its strategy ?
  • What are the main products / information that allows you to think this destination is now targeting a 360° activity period ?
  • What potential do you see for this destination in a year-long activity strategy and for which segment of clients (could be more than one) ? Do not hesitate to make you own recommendation on what they should change in order to be successful.

Goal

 

Getting well-informed about the destination you will be visiting. Evaluate how well you can identify specific tourism problematics in a foreign region and evaluate the potential of its strategy / products.

 

Format and timing

 

Each national team will share the results of their online research and conclusions with the other national teams through an 8 minutes oral presentation on-site, involving as many speakers as necessary. Presentations will take place on Monday Nov 18th 2024.

 

Requested material

 

As for Pre-Task II, prepare a clear visual presentation, such as a set of slides (pptx or pdf), to support your presentation. Keep the design simple and clear, using a readable font (e.g., dark text on a light background) with minimal text on each slide. Pictures and animations are encouraged but should not be overused.
